A new wineskin for HCIC for 2012
29 December 2011 - 7:06pm

29th December 2011

2012 is a new day, a new beginning for HCIC. To celebrate it we have published a new website – our new wineskin.

We see a new dawning for health care – a day in which God’s glory will be revealed. Our goal is for this website to express God’s grace and mercy for the sick and for health care workers who are walking in His Spirit in obedience to Him.

God’s Word says that,
“The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.”Matt 4:16

This scripture is a reference to Isaiah 9:2 but it goes on to say in verses 3-8,
“You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy;
they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest,
as warriors rejoice when dividing the plunder.
For as in the day of Midian’s defeat, you have shattered
the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders,
the rod of their oppressor.”

We will rejoice at the harvest because the yoke over health care, the rod of the oppressor/the enemy has been shattered. Our hope is in Him to bring revival and transformation to health care. We are not expecting perfection but we are expecting God to do great and mighty things even in the midst of turmoil and persecution. Ps 112:4 expresses that in this way,
 “Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.”

Surely this is referring to Christian health care workers – those who are gracious, compassionate and righteous!

Our prayer as we begin 2012 is from Isaiah 58:8,
“Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.”
